Participants will be taught improvisational acting and focus will be set on its fundamentals, narrative and structure. It is primarily about making things up on the spot. Improvisation is one of the core techniques used by actors. It stretches the imagination, sparks spontaneity and can lead to unforgettable performances.
Björn Stefánsson started as a musician and worked mainly as a drummer with various bands. He played in Vesturports rendition of Jesus Christ Superstar at Reykjavík City Theater and a few years later started studying at Holberg Theater and Film School in Denmark. Shortly after graduation Björn started working as an actor at Borgarleikhúsið and among the shows he has performed in are: Jeppe On The Hill, Pippi Longstocking, Billy Elliot, The Seagull, Njála, Salka Valka, Rocky Horror, The Story Of The Blue Planet, Heaven And Hell and Matthilda. He was recently in the TV series Case and the films Let Me Fall and Rift.
